2017 Medium: Mixed Media Video, Photography In a digital age where people believe social media determines their worth, I look around and see people being consumed by the allure of likes and fame - living life through their phones and blissfully ignorant of the absurdity of it all. On a trip to the Eastern Sierras, I once became incredibly frustrated as I repeatedly attempted to post a picture of a mountain scene in an area with little connection. I realized at that moment I was more focused on my social media presence than I was with enjoying the breath-taking scenery before me. We can only enjoy life to the fullest if we understand our worth is determined not by the number of likes on our profile pictures, but by the moments we experience and the relationships we make.
